Monster Yamaha MotoGP Test Qatar Day 2 – Maverick Vinales was the best Yamaha rider on Day 2 at Losail, the track where the last IRTA tests of the 2019 pre-season are taking place.

The #12 of the Iwata manufacturer achieved the second fastest time behind the Suzuki of compatriot Alex Rins, saying he was quite satisfied with his performance.

The race pace is very good, despite the rear grip not being the best. The word is up to him.

“We worked a bit on the race pace and honestly I'm quite happy, because I think we made some good improvements. It was important to "feel" the bike and find a new setting to go fast – said Maverick Vinales – I think that work has been done and I'm quite happy about it. We still have a lot of things to do tomorrow to improve further. I hope to go faster, because I think the track wasn't great today. Tomorrow we can hope to find a little more grip. At the moment the grip level is quite low for me, but we are still there at the front and that is the most important thing.”
