Andrea Iannone he closed the first day of testing at Philipp Island in 10th place, over 2 seconds behind Danilo Petrucci's Ducati Pramac. The rider from Vasto, like all the other riders, was totally affected by the rain that came and went on the circuit and in the end he only managed to do 7 laps in the dry. The hope now is to find "normal" weather tomorrow also because the two Andreas from Ducati have many things to try on the new 2016 GP and the days of winter testing are already few, if the weather also starts acting up, it becomes really tough.

“It was a very strange day – said Andrea Iannone – unfortunately today the weather did not allow us to work as we had planned and in the end I only managed to do seven laps in the afternoon in dry conditions with my 2016 Desmosedici GP. In reality we have to hope that in the next two days we will be able to run with greater continuity because we still have many tests to do. However, I am happy with the very positive atmosphere that reigns inside my garage and I have a lot of confidence in the new bike.”
