MotoGP 2015 Repsol Honda Test Misano – The reigning champion Marc Marquez and his team-mate Dani Pedrosa said they were satisfied with the first day of testing on the Misano circuit. The two Honda riders will stop until Friday, when they will test Michelin tyres, a company that will replace Bridgestone as the sole supplier of MotoGP from next year.

“Today was a positive day. We worked to adapt the setup to the new asphalt and we also worked on the riding position. In the afternoon we focused more on setting up the bike as this is a good circuit to work on this aspect – said Marc Marquez (1:32.31 – 84 laps – 347 km) – We found something good, but today we will continue to work on this until I am 100% satisfied. We will then test the prototype of the 2016 bike that HRC brought here.”

“The new asphalt is very “good”, it has fewer potholes and this is positive. They did a good job. It's very positive to have a few days of testing in this part of the season, trying to find a basic setup, especially due to my injury, which forced me to stop for 3 GPs – explained Dani Pedrosa (1: 32.76 – 63 laps – 266 km) We still have work to do compared to a “normal” season. When we are here for the race the temperature won't be so high and I'm sure the times will be better. I'm happy with the work done and I can't wait to try the new prototype!”
