Loris Capirossi is particularly satisfied with the two-day Irta MotoGP test in Jerez de la Frontera. The Suzuki rider was in fact strong in all the sessions and in the timed session he achieved the third best time behind Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi. However, Capirossi knows that what matters to him are the races and would like to start the season with a good result on April 12th in Qatar, a GP which will be held at night. The Imola native then thanked the Team and Suzuki for the improvements made to the GSV-R 800cc. The word is up to him.

“I think this was a very positive day, especially because this morning we found a good setting which made the bike very fast. I worked hard with the whole team and tested many things and now I have good feelings. I can say that it is a 100% improvement compared to last year! In every test we were competitive and this is very important for us. Today third place was in a 45 minute session, but the good thing is that this was like a qualifying session that we will have in the season and everyone had the same tire so I'm satisfied. The situation today is good, but we must continue to work as hard as we have done this year. Suzuki did a really good job over the winter, but we have to continue because our potential is good, but not at the top and we have to be at the top! I want to say a big thank you to the whole team for their work during the testing phase and especially to Suzuki for the bike they gave us. This is just the beginning, because we need to do well in the race and we don't care much about today's result, the races count!”
