MotoGP Test Jerez Aprilia Day 1 – Andrea Iannone closed the first day of testing in Jerez with an excellent eleventh time. After his debut in Valencia, the new Aprilia rider seemed to have already found a good confidence with the bike in the first part of the day, but in the afternoon he was involved in a high-speed accident, fortunately without serious consequences.

The rider from Vasto ended the day with a delay of just over a second compared to the best performance of the day recorded by Danilo Petrucci on Ducati. A notable step forward if you consider that just a week ago in Valencia the #29 was seventeenth.

These are the words of Andrea Iannone: “I struggled a bit with the front, especially when braking. At the moment everything is 'out of control' but it won't be for a while yet. It's important to have everything under control, the bike is fast, but tomorrow we will work on the front brake and try to improve. Times? I want to focus on understanding and improving the bike. As for the crash, I slipped at high speed and everything hurts, but I think I can ride tomorrow, I'll do my best."
