Buriram, Suzuki Ecstar – On the sidelines of the second day of testing in Buriram, Andrea Iannone commented positively on the steps forward made by Suzuki during the last day of work in Thailand, underlining how the direction taken is the right one. The Italian tested a new hull, also focusing on some changes in terms of set-up. The feedback has been positive, especially over long distances, but the former Ducati rider expects a further step forward on the flying lap.

Here are the words of Alex Rins: "TheToday was a really positive test as we tried many things. We hit the track with a new fairing and some modified chassis parts. The MotoGP bikes obviously have a lot of electronics, but these new features helped me improve the feeling with the front. I feel like the bike is more mine and therefore we are managing to find more speed. I had a fall this morning, but luckily I'm fine and had no consequences."

Here are Andrea Iannone's impressions: “Today we made some steps forward and I am satisfied. We tested the new hull and the sensations were positive. I crashed during the first laps and for this reason we tried to change something in the balance, making comparisons with the old configuration. Overall we are doing a good job and the bike is performing well with the used tyres, but we need to find more performance with the new ones. We'll try to understand why I have a good pace over the distance, but we struggle in the flying lap. The bike improves step by step and this encourages me in anticipation of tomorrow."
