MotoGP | IRTA Thailand Test Day 1: Lorenzo, “Today I had some difficulties”
The Ducati rider closed the first day on the Buriram circuit with the tenth fastest time
MotoGP Test Irta Thailand Ducati – Jorge Lorenzo closed the first day of testing on the Buriram circuit with the tenth fastest time.
Much of the day was spent by the Majorcan learning the new track. Only towards the end did the Ducati rider try some new features including the new aerodynamics, in two variants. The #99 appears to have been slowed down by a problem with the gearbox and rear tyre.
These are the words of Jorge Lorenzo: “Today I had some difficulties on this track and I wasn't able to be very fast. In the next two days we will have to find a solution to improve my feeling, so that I can push hard. At the end of the day we tried some new aerodynamics, but it is too early to be able to draw conclusions, also because we are still far from the potential we can express on this circuit.”
