MotoGP Test Barcelona Honda Repsol – Dani Pedrosa closed the day of IRTA testing on the Montmelò circuit with the seventh fastest time.

The Honda rider concentrated all day on set-up work, especially to try to resolve the rear grip problems that have been following him for several races now. At the end of the day he finished just over eight tenths behind his teammate and leader of the day, Marc Marquez.

The good news is that the difficulties he had in the last few races seem to have been resolved, or at least mitigated, the bad news is that he wasn't able to try the new material tested by his team-mate.

These are the words of Dani Pedrosa: “Today we worked from 10 in the morning until 6 in the afternoon, non-stop, so thanks to the team for the great effort made. Today we tried many changes. Basically, we worked on the geometry of the bike. It wasn't easy to understand everything because the temperature increased a lot over the course of the day, so the track conditions changed. Despite everything, even if we always have to keep our feet on the ground, we hope to have been able to find a couple of things, including a slight change to the geometry set-up compared to the one used in the race. We will go in this direction now and see if we have chosen the right path."
