Jorge Lorenzo he closed the test in Barcelona with the first half, trailing Nicky Hayden's Ducati by a whisker. The Majorcan tried different settings and a new Bridgestone tyre, but in the end he didn't declare himself particularly satisfied with the test also because Yamaha didn't bring any big news starting with the famous seamless change that the Majorcan has been asking for since the start of the championship.

“Today we tried different settings, but in the end we didn't get a big improvement – said Jorge Lorenzo – I tried to improve my driving further, but I think there is still work to be done. We didn't try any new parts, just a new Bridgestone rear tire that felt good in some areas and was more consistent in pace. Now we go to Motorland in Aragon even if it seems that the weather forecast for Wednesday is not good at all. It's very important for us to ride there as we have never won on that track. We will try to understand how our bike behaves on that circuit"
