Stefal Bradl closes the first day of testing in Texas with the fourth fastest time
First approach very positive for Stefan Bradl on the new entry track on the MotoGP calendar, the Austin circuit in Texas. The German driver of the LCR team finished with the fourth time the first day of private testing which sees Honda and Yamaha riders take to the track. The former Moto2 champion liked the layout of the new track and completed it 51 laps with the best time lap of 2'06.053. He has the microphone
“It's a track that I like with an interesting layout and everything is organized very well. You can see that it is more suitable for four-wheel racing (especially in the first part), then It took me a while to find the right trajectory but, after a few rides, I started to enjoy it. Once we had the basic references we started with the setup why here there are many quick changes of direction and many sudden braking. Overall it was a positive debut and I was impressed by this track which is really technical”.
