Forward Racing Yamaha 2015 – Stefan Bradl will be forced to miss the German Grand Prix, his home race which will take place next Sunday on the Sachsenring circuit.

In fact, the Forward Racing driver has not recovered from the fracture of his right scaphoid suffered in the Assen Grand Prix. Last Monday he was operated on by Dr. Stefan Krischak who fixed the fracture with a Herbert screw and after the operation there was hope of seeing him on the track. To date, however, the pain persists and the doctors have advised the German rider not to return to the track prematurely so as not to compromise the second part of the season.

Riding the Yamaha Open will be Claudio Corti (in the photo), already a Team rider in 2010 in Moto2, riding a Suter and in 2013 in MotoGP together with Colin Edwards with the FTR-Kawasaki. The 28-year-old from Como will take to the track as early as FP1.

“It's really a shame to be forced to miss my home Grand Prix, but the doctors advised me not to force my recovery time so as not to risk compromising the rest of the season – said Stefan Bradl – The hand is still sore and I will try to make full use of these weeks of stoppage before the Indianapolis race. I will be at the Sachsenring together with the team to honor the commitments with the media, the sponsors and all my fans who have been really close to me in this week after the surgery.”

“I can't hide that I'm really happy to be back on a MotoGP bike. I thank Giovanni and the team for this opportunity and I hope Stefan recovers as soon as possible – explained Claudio Corti – I will try to repay everyone's trust as best as I can by working hard and giving my all on the track. It will be a new experience on this bike, but I'm ready and I hope to get a decent result.”
