Austin GP, ​​Octo Pramac – Eighth position for Danilo Petrucci in the last Grand Prix of the Americas, third round of the 2017 MotoGP world championship. Despite a weekend full of difficulties, especially in terms of balance, the Italian managed to put together a good package during this morning's warm-up, making the most of the potential of the medium tyre. Twelfth position instead for Scott Redding, never fighting for the top ten in this evening's race.

Here are the words of Danilo Petrucci: “I'm very happy with today's race. Yesterday we were in a lot of difficulty, I couldn't get a good feeling with the front. We studied the data a lot and this work paid off, as did the choice of hard tire on the rear. We got all the moves right. For this I want to thank the whole team, especially my chief mechanic Daniele Romagnoli and my electronic engineer Christian Battaglia because they did a great job. It's a great result."

Here are Scott Redding's impressions: “It was a very tough race today. I went with the hard tire but I didn't find the feeling. Maybe I should have tried with the medium but now it's too late for regrets. The problem is that I wasn't able to be competitive at the start of the race. Especially when exiting corners I had no traction. For this reason I had to apply heavy braking, putting a lot of stress on the front tyre. We have work to do. We must now focus on Jerez."
