MotoGP Silverstone, Qualifying: Marquez takes pole, Rossi tries to attack but finishes 2nd

GP Silverstone MotoGP Qualifying – Marc Marquez wins the pole of the British Grand Prix, on the Silverstone circuit, twelfth stage of the 2017 MotoGP world championship.
The Honda rider stopped the clock at 1:59.941, lowering his best pole of 2015. It is the 71st career pole for the five-time world champion.
Behind the Spaniard was an incredible Valentino Rossi, who in his last attempt, after three record sectors, lost all of his advantage in the fourth, stopping 84 thousandths behind the world championship leader.
Host Cal Crutchlow completes the front row.
Maverick Vinales opens the second row, followed by the pair of Official Ducati riders: Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso.
Slight improvement compared to practice for Dani Pedrosa who finished seventh fastest, ahead of Johann Zarco and Aleix Espargarò. Jonas Folger completes the top ten.
Not very good Andrea Iannone and Danilo Petrucci who will start in 15th and 18th position respectively.
