MotoGP Silverstone, Free Practice: Andrea Dovizioso “Difficult conditions in the afternoon”

Andrea Dovizioso ended the first day of the MotoGP class of the British Grand Prix in fifth place. The Repsol Honda Team rider from Forlì lapped in 2'04.910, 1.162 behind the leader and teammate Casey Stoner. The word is up to him.

“This afternoon the track conditions were difficult especially because there are different types of asphalt which discharge differently. For example, T1 and T4 drained very well, while the track was wet in T2 and T3. It took me a while to find the feeling and we struggled with the traction control. We have worked on the different settings and I think we can improve tomorrow. It will be important to have dry conditions tomorrow, as we did this morning in FP1, but all in all FP2 was important because we could find similar conditions in the race.”
