Stefan Bradl was the unfortunate protagonist of a fall (which occurred in the FP4 of the Sepang MotoGP) which caused him to fracture the medial malleolus of his right ankle. The German driver therefore did not compete in qualifying and will be operated on today  Kuala Lumpur Sports Medicine Centre, where he will be followed by Alberto Busilacchi (orthopedist of the Clinica Mobile) and Enric Caceres (Dorna Medical Team). Here's what the German rider from Team LCR had to say.

“I was quite confident during FP4 and we had a new tire to be ready for Q2. So I started pushing, but for some reason I didn't have a feeling with the rear tire, I didn't have the right grip. So I tried to push on the brakes, but I did it a bit too much and I lost the front. Honestly it wasn't a bad crash, but I was unlucky. The handlebars of my motorbike raised a part of the synthetic grass and unfortunately my right leg hit violently. I immediately felt the pain and the X-ray examination revealed the fracture of the right malleolus.”
