The second free practice session of the MotoGP class in Sepang was characterized by heavy rain before the start of the session, which caused the race direction to display the red flag.
Once the session resumed, the riders took to the track with rain tires and in these conditions the best on the track was Jorge Lorenzo, riding the Yamaha Factory.
The two-time MotoGP world champion stopped the clock at a time of 2:14.503, a time that allowed him to beat the two-time world champion Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, both riding Team Repsol Hondas, by more than two tenths. .
Fourth time for Andrea Dovizioso's Ducati, fifth for Aleix Espargarò's Yamaha Open and sixth for the Spaniard Hector Barberà's Ducati.
