MotoGP Sepang: Nicky Hayden “The chatter slowed us down”

Nicky Hayden closed the first day of free practice for the MotoGP class in Sepang with the eighth fastest time. The American rider (in his fourth to last race aboard the Borgo Panigale bike) had started well and had a good feeling in the first session; subsequently, however, he was unable to match the times of the leaders. “This morning things went quite well, but during the day we moved away from the leaders. The biggest problem is the front end chattering, especially in fast corners, which made it difficult to maintain cornering speed. It's the same problem we encountered here during winter testing, so we expected it, but we have to do something to improve the situation.”
