GP Malaysia Sepang MotoGP Ducati Pramac – Danilo Petrucci closed the Malaysian Grand Prix, the penultimate event of the 2017 MotoGP, in sixth position.

The rider from Terni had a technical problem on the alignment lap and was therefore forced to start from the back of the grid. Furthermore, despite the excellent comeback, Petrucci struggled throughout the race with rear grip. Much regret in the words of the Pramac rider, who had everything it took to at least finish on the podium.

These are the words of Danilo Petrucci: “I don't know what happened to the bike, I only know that it broke before the start but I don't know why. I started well, but on the first lap my bike was very unstable especially at the rear and I think the rear tire wasn't working well. It was very difficult to manage the bike until the end, but then it went better. Starting from the back of the grid was not easy and although I made a good start, in the first 2 corners I gained 10 positions, after which I don't know why the bike was difficult to ride and I lost many positions again. In the end I managed to get up to sixth position. I'm sorry I didn't finish on the podium, and now we're thinking about Valencia. I definitely would have done better without the problem, but it happens. For me, this is the 4th time I've broken my bike during the race and I don't know why it's always mine, but I'm happy with how I rode even though I still haven't understood why I had no grip. I'm glad the race is over. “
