Compared to all the MotoGP riders, Dani Pedrosa practically didn't have the chance to test at Sepang this winter: just one dramatic day of testing, with the now famous crash (and consequent... flambé of his RC212V) which forced him to stop for more than a month. Furthermore, at the time he had been riding with the Michelins, a completely different life compared to the Bridgestones, and this is also why today Dani Pedrosa worked hard to find a good balance, sparing no effort and finding, in the afternoon, a good base of starting with the 5th best time.

“This morning we suffered a bit because we didn't have the race pace, but in the afternoon we managed to improve the feeling with the bike and, at the same time, the pace”, comments Dani Pedrosa. “We worked mainly on the set-up, trying different tyres: here the decision on the right tire is crucial, so we concentrated on this aspect. Tomorrow I hope to get a good position on the grid because in Sepang it is essential to get a good start... I hope that tomorrow there will be good weather and we can use all the minutes available to prepare for the race. Here everyone is going very well thanks to the references from the winter tests: for me the situation is a little different, because in February I tested just one day and with a different technical package compared to the current one. The Bridgestones are different and therefore you need to change your driving style to go fast here...".
