MotoGP – Sepang Day 1 – Improvements only at the end for De Angelis

The San Marino driver encountered a few too many difficulties in the morning free practice session in Sepang, only to improve in the late afternoon also thanks to a particularly competitive Bridgestone tyre. The representative of the San Carlo Honda Gresini team is so confident that he will be able to make up ground tomorrow, moving away from the current 17th position...

“In the last part of the second free practice session we fitted a rear tyre, recommended to us by Bridgestone, which significantly improved the feeling I had with the bike”, says Alex De Angelis. “Unfortunately I was only able to complete four laps before the time available ran out, and I am convinced there were all the conditions to improve both compared to the morning free practice session and the first part of the afternoon session. A lot of work still awaits us tomorrow: we used the second session of the afternoon to make changes to the second bike, and some of these proved to be very effective, so we want to replicate them on the bike for the race".
