MotoGP – Sepang Day 1 – Positive day for Dovizioso

Not bad for Andrea Dovizioso on the first day of testing in Sepang. The Forlì driver finished seventh in the combined free practice sessions, finding a large amount of data to best define the set-up of his Honda RC212V. Andrea is so satisfied, convinced that he can improve further tomorrow.

“Today was a good day of free practice, which we concluded with a good final result”, says Andrea Dovizioso. “We would have liked to carry out a more intense program but this morning the asphalt was too slippery and the track conditions were not significant. We carried out some tests on the tires and identified two solutions on which to focus tomorrow and continue the set-up for the race. As regards the set up of the chassis, the data collected today is useful for defining the direction to follow, and we know where to intervene to make progress. I'm satisfied because on this track, fast and technical, I made a good time and tomorrow we could be more competitive, and despite the rain the asphalt conditions are improving".
