“I honestly thought I could have a good race by finishing in the top ten but I never imagined I would get sixth position! It was expected to be a difficult race also because physically I wasn't feeling well but I managed to get into a rhythm almost immediately and decisively attack the riders in front of me. When I reached Marco Melandri I also found some difficulty due to the worsening of stomach pains. Inside I thought, right now! But I gritted my teeth, I forced myself and managed to engage in a good battle with Marco, overtake him and defend sixth position.
