MotoGP Sachsenring: Marquez extraordinary, wins and takes the lead of the world championship, Rossi is fifth
On the podium the rookie Jonas Folger and Dani Pedrosa, Rossi finished fifth
German GP MotoGP Race – Marc Marquez laid down the law at the Sachsenring, the scene of the ninth stage and turning point of the 2017 MotoGP. The Honda rider won the German Grand Prix, his fifth consecutive victory in Saxony (eighth also considering those obtained in the 125cc and Moto2 classes) , where yesterday he had achieved yet another pole position on Teutonic soil.
With this success and thanks to the result of his opponents, Marquez takes himself to the top of the world championship just before the summer break (he will return to the track on August 6th in Brno for the Czech Republic Grand Prix).
On the podium a great Jonas Folger (Monster Yamaha Tech 3), who in his rookie season in the Top Class, finished second in his home Grand Prix. A Folger who fought with Marquez until a few laps from the end, and then took home a splendid result. On the third step of the podium Dani Pedrosa, who after the dull race in Assen, takes a nice revenge on his detractors.
At Yamaha (internal team) Maverick Vinales beat Valentino Rossi, taking fourth place after a good comeback. The Spaniard finished ahead of Rossi, an excellent Alvaro Bautista and Aleix Espargarò's Aprilia.
The official Ducati race was negative; Andrea Dovizioso finished eighth, while Jorge Lorenzo, after a good start, finished eleventh, just ahead of Danilo Petrucci (Pramac Racing), with the latter starting from the front row. Andrea Iannone crashed while recovering and fighting for places close to the Top Ten.
For Marc Marquez it is the second victory of the season, number 31 in the Top Class, the same number of victories as Eddie Lawson, champion of the 500cc class.
The world ranking now sees Marquez in command with 129 points against Vinales' 124 points, Dovizioso's 123, Valentino Rossi's 119 and Dani Pedrosa's 103.

I think this championship also beats the Biscotto between Lorenzo and Marquez.
When Zarco did great things at Le Mans with a French team in France with a French tire dealer, I said to myself it could be a coincidence, that some Spaniards won in Spain because there are so many and so good that it happens that they win a little everywhere. Then an Italian won at Mugello, but so far apart from Zarco who had a great performance at Le Mans while his teammate took 25 seconds and Zarco only 3 seconds from the first, in the other GPs they are people who have been strong for years to have won.
But that Folger, whose best result was sixth place at 14 seconds in Barcelona, suddenly becomes the man to beat and catches up to Marquez at the Sachenring, a German in Germany, who comes second in an almost equal battle with a multiple world champion, Bahahhaha it's ridiculous.
Pedrosa declared that he had a lot of problems on the left side, he certainly got one of those bad rear tires.
The other Yamahas including Zarco's were extremely struggling to get below 1.22 and Folger, who up until now had been completely overshadowed by his teammate, has become a phenomenon... But who believes it?
At one time it may be an anomaly, at another it may be a coincidence, but now it is happening too many times, too many times people are trying to attract the public and involve the public to make money and create popularity, the reversal of values, and I don't say this as a fan of a driver, above all, because it is too obvious how this world championship is faked by what is given to the drivers. Other than the rubber that is attributed by some Rossi anti-fans to his period of domination, here they are making Rookie riders or others who have never done who knows what, phenomena, and in this case they slowed down a Pedrosa who had shown a pace of certainly better than the one shown in the race. There is certainly a problem with the quality of the single tyre, but it seems to me that there is a manipulation of the result also depending on the circuit and where it is located, giving some riders of some nationalities precisely in circuits of their country of origin something of different being of the match in a match and against opponents who are usually well above their possibilities.
well, I don't think so... interesting reflection anyway
We'll see how it continues and what the next few years will do. For now it is certain that they have a problem with the quality of the tyres. Pedrosa, Crutchlow and I think Petrucci also caught something unusual. Pedrosa on the rear, Crutchlow on the front, Petrucci on the rear.
Maybe others have also had problems but these are the ones whose statements can be read. Yet it's not as if they were running at the limit of the tires, if the limit is what Marquez and Folger showed. Furthermore, Pedrosa, in the past, was the one who always had the most problems getting the tires up to temperature and one of those who had the least consumption precisely because he is lighter. At the Sachenring, however, he was among those who put the tire into difficulty the most and had to raise his pace significantly after a few laps while in front of him they maintained an impressive pace until the end.
We'll see how many more times Folger will be there throughout the match to compete with the best, but if it remains such an isolated case, some questions should be asked.
Even Ducati goes from rags to rags in terms of performance, forced to use a soft tire on the rear. Petrucci but also Dovizioso beaten by an Aprilia, well it seems really, really too strange to not be faked. Ducati had shown that it had something more to do with saving tires in the last few GPs and now it no longer seems like that. Zarco who used Soft one after the other in the race, now used a Hard one.
It seems really too strange to me...
