The MotoGP German Grand Prix got off to a great start for Marc Marquez. The Honda rookie immediately adapted to the German toboggan, setting the fifth fastest time of the day (combined ranking of the two free practice sessions). The German track is not very different (in his opinion) from when he rode it with the Moto2, this made his task easier. The word is up to him.

“The day was very positive and I am very happy with how the tests have gone so far. I always improved and from the beginning I had a good feeling. The circuit being very short and tortuous is not that different from when you do it with the Moto2. Of course you reach higher speeds and brake harder, but it's not much different from other circuits. This helps me adapt a little faster. We've worked a lot but there are still points where I need to improve, be more consistent and find a good setup. Tomorrow we will try to continue on this path. I'm very sorry for Jorge (Lorenzo, ed.), we're waiting for news and I wish him the best."
