MotoGP Sachsenring Marc Marquez: “I copied, but it was a good race!”

Marquez wins his ninth consecutive race on a treacherous track

MotoGP Sachsenring Marc Marquez: “I copied, but it was a good race!”MotoGP Sachsenring Marc Marquez: “I copied, but it was a good race!”

9 out of 9 is a goal that not everyone, or rather almost anyone, achieves. Especially with two races like Assen and Sachsenring where the conditions are a bit of a lottery. But all this was not enough to stop Marc Marquez, who, taking inspiration from Rossi and Pedrosa, managed to achieve yet another excellent result, bringing home another victory which reiterates, if it were not understood, that the man he is the one to beat, even in conditions where those with more experience should be favoured. The word is up to him.

“Before going out on track I thought it would be a race similar to Assen, but in the end the asphalt dried out very quickly. I saw on the grid that Bradl would start on slicks and I started to have serious doubts, because the area around the end of the track was still wet. Then I finally decided to see what Dani and Valentino were doing, as they are my direct rivals in the championship and if you make the wrong decisions in these races you can lose a lot of points. So I decided to copy their strategy. The race was good, especially the first part, which is where I had the most fun."

How does he manage to recover all that ground and even, once he has grabbed hold, then walk away alone? Are Bradl and Bautista's bikes really the same as his? I'm not talking about Pedrosa because I've now come to the conclusion that he doesn't even want to win apart from the lack of character that would allow him to do so.

Hi, I'm not an expert and I won't begin to speculate on what differences there are between the bikes, but I believe we are faced with a talent who knows how to go fast, has a head, and has a lot of fun. It reminds me of Valentino as a young man. Even the most crazy things succeed... talent, instinct, luck? Maybe a little of everything.
We just have to hope that someone else emerges who can stand up to him, but ultimately he deserves what he gets. We are sportsmen and we enjoy watching him run. We could say that we saw talents like Valentino and Marquez racing and then who knows??

    have a good fun
