MotoGP Sachsenring: Jorge Lorenzo “This afternoon the bike was better in all areas”
The Majorcan finished the free practice in 4th place, 2 tenths of a second behind Marquez
Jorge Lorenzo he closed the first free practice session at the Sachsenring in 4th place, just 2 tenths behind Marc Marquez and ahead of his team-mate Rossi. The Majorcan appeared to be in difficulty in the morning session, but in the afternoon he seemed much more in control and ready to compete with the best on a track where he has never won in MotoGP.
“In the morning session I had several problems – said Jorge Lorenzo – especially in the first sector, where the electronics didn't intervene as well in the first corner, but then we managed to improve. In the afternoon, in fact, I was doing better in T1 and throughout the track, in fact in the end we were very close to the leaders. Tomorrow we will have another session to see if we can improve the bike further before qualifying."

We'll see, maybe they're hiding, but getting 2 or 3 tenths per lap on the pace at the end of the session, with worn tires, isn't a good sign.
Jorge seemed to me to be in difficulty when braking and entering corners both in the morning with the soft symmetric and in the afternoon with the asymmetric front.
He was at the limit and on 2 or 3 occasions he lost the front and saved himself by playing some nice jokers.
