MotoGP – Sachsenring – Hector Barbera finishes ninth
Hector Barbera finished the German GP in ninth position just 22 seconds behind the winner Dani Pedrosa. This result is good for the morale of the Team Aspar driver who had a lot of fun driving today. The word is up to him.
“I started really well in the first race. Suddenly I found myself in third position and was really able to see how things are much easier when you start from the front on the grid. I was trying to find my rhythm when the red flag came out. In the second race I didn't start as well and was slowed down until I managed to pass Melandri. I was riding well and on the one hand I'm happy with the step forward we've made. On the other hand, I was five seconds from fifth place and could have been closer. The race flew by, when I looked at the pitboard I saw that there was only one lap to go. This happened because I was having so much fun. It's the race in which I came closest to the winner but now I can't afford to let my guard down.”
