MotoGP: Rossi, "Being the oldest world championship leader since '49 makes me happy, but it means I'm old"
The Yamaha rider then added "Now we return to Europe until October, then the real championship begins"
MotoGP Valentino Rossi- With the podium achieved in Austin, the driver from Tavullia has reached the top of the world ranking, the oldest driver since 1949 to lead the championship. A record held by Harnold Daniell who in that year, thanks to the victory in the first two stages of the world championship, reached the top of the ranking at 39 years and 256 days. Record still unbeaten but approached by Valentino Rossi, who with his 38 years and 66 days, placed second in this particular ranking.
The next stage of the MotoGP will be Jerez de la Frontera, the track where the "Doctor" won last year and where he hopes to maintain the leadership of the standings.
These are the words of Valentino Rossi, interviewed by Radio DeeJay: “I'm very happy to be first in the standings, it's a nice thing because I had always struggled in testing, but instead they were 3 beautiful races and I achieved three podiums. Marquez and Vinales made mistakes once each and so I'm ahead. You always have to try to go as fast as possible without ever falling, this would be the goal.”
“This is a result I didn't expect, I've always struggled with the new bike during testing, so we were chasing; plus Marc and Vinales were flying, they were ahead during all the tests, so this is a bit of a surprise result. There are only three races but I have always been there, I can be competitive."
The champion from Tavullia then added on the record: “Being the oldest driver in the world championship since Harnodl Daniell is news that makes me happy on one side and a little less happy on the other, it means I'm old, but that's fine anyway. I would have preferred to be the youngest.”
“Now we return to Europe until October, then the real championship begins on the historic tracks where there is a completely different atmosphere and culture. We start from Jerez, which is a fantastic track, where last year I managed to win. Then there are a series of super tracks, we go to: Le Mans, Mugello, Barcelona and Assen. We are moving towards the best moment of the championship, where the best races are.

mmh..who knows if he will beat this record too. I see him as perky... what do you think, fat guy?
The fat guy thinks that age doesn't matter, in fact Rossi today is in the period of his career in which he is more competitive and faster.
But it's ridiculous. A Rossi at the top of his career would have beaten today's by driving with one hand. Anyone who has followed him over the years, anyone who has actually watched him compete, knows this. But many are too young. Which confirms that I too am old now. Ah, sadness!
BTW: the fact that he himself sometimes says that he has never felt so fit does not contradict the above at all. Why:
a) sensations are one thing, facts are another;
b) form is how much you exploit your potential at the moment, but if your potential has unfortunately decreased significantly over time (as is obvious and natural)…
This should make us reflect on how extraordinary he was before: if it still goes like this now that he is "impaired"... But reflection is out of the reach of most, as we know. ;)
Go and explain this to the detractors, they will explain to you that at the time Rossi had the best bike, he had the rubber, he had no worthy opponents and he was helped by Dorna, in short, a low level rider.
Ahahahhhahahahahhaha yes Nando….Second pausem3rda….Rossi has always sucked…And today thanks to the better bike/fall of the others…he is in front.
I haven't been in for a while.
The World Cup is going great 😜 for being at the beginning.
But what happened to the fat guy?
Doesn't he babble anymore?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
