Aleix Espargarò was unable to implement in the race the good things he did in practice. The Spanish Forward Racing rider, who started fourth fastest, was the victim of a crash that compromised his race. Once back on the saddle he managed to finish in fifteenth position. His thoughts are already turning to Jerez, where the Spanish Grand Prix will take place next Sunday.

“I am very sorry for today's fall. I need to improve my feeling with the bike at the start of the race when the tank is still full. At this stage I suffer a lot and the steering tends to close suddenly. Today I found myself on the ground unable to do anything. It's really a shame because we had done a good job, the race pace was excellent and I could have finished in the top five. In Jerez I hope to come back strong, I want to have a good race."

That's a 21-litre motorbike with a 24-litre tank, it seems like a small difference, but in the early stages of the race even 2kg more when you go from 300km/h to 100km/h can make a big difference on the front.
