GP Qatar MotoGP Free Practice 2 – Great Ducati in the second free practice session of the Qatar Grand Prix, the opening race of the 2016 world championship. Andrea Iannone achieved the best time with a time of 1:55.388, bringing the new Desmosedici GP to the top on a track, that of Losail, where it has always been strong and where last year it placed two riders on the podium, Dovizioso and Iannone, on the second and third step respectively.

Marc Marquez made a great comeback, finishing in second position just 13 thousandths behind Ducati. The two-time MotoGP world champion was even ahead on the last lap, when his Honda "went off" the track on the main straight, touching the synthetic grass. A Honda still making a comeback, but also a great Ducati GP15, third with Scott Redding.

The Team Pramac rider preceded the Suzuki of Maverick Vinales, once again among the fastest, and the Desmosedici GP of Andrea Dovizioso, fifth and ahead of the Honda of Dani Pedrosa.

Valentino Rossi is seventh, 0.495s away from the top. He as well as his team-mate Jorge Lorenzo (yesterday the fastest and ninth in these FP2) worked on the tires with a view to the race, not paying too much attention to the stopwatch. For Rossi also a "number", when he took over the front of his Yamaha M1, "escaped" in a right bend.

Hector Barberà did better than Lorenzo, eighth on the Ducati GP14.2, ahead of a stoic Danilo Petrucci, who was in doubt yesterday given the recent injury to his right hand. The Pramac Racing rider from Terni is 0.870s behind Iannone and precedes the Espargarò brothers, with Aleix (Suzuki) ahead of Pol (Yamaha).

The new Aprilia is still behind, placing Alvaro Bautista in eighteenth position and Stefan Bradl in twentieth.

Great Ducati, in this circuit it is doing well, very well, both in terms of pace and best. Not just Iannone who adapted better than Dovizioso, but even the older Ducatis are fine.
We hope it will be a race with the Ducatis as protagonists and, above all, that this year we will be able to stay consistently at the top.
Dovi is now a finished rider, I don't think we should expect different performances from past years, with a more competitive Ducati, he will be able to be more consistent, however, both Iannone, Redding and Petrucci could find very interesting ideas.

    Great Ducati

I also hope that Ducati is competitive. He deserves it and his riders deserve it, Iannone and Petrucci first and foremost.

However, if I remember correctly, you were one of those who claimed last year that Dovi would finish ahead of Rossi at the end of the championship. I'm pretty sure that was you!
PS: To be finished it must have had a peak... something that Dovi never had having won a single race in Moto GP... a single race.
Iannone Petrucci and Redding are certainly more promising

I don't remember, it looked like you to me, but you shoot c@zz@you anyway.

Go do your nice research, move your finger on the keyboard and then we'll talk about it again.

If you're not sure, shut up.

no no, I'm pretty sure that little bastard was you! It doesn't matter anyway ;)

Yes great ducati and let's hope well this year ;)

But I wouldn't give up on Dovi, he knows how to work well on the development of the bike and manage the race when he can have his say :)

But Scott and Danilo can definitely do well, when at full throttle... Come on guys

Strange fp2 anyway...everyone improved except the 4 Yamahas...Lorenzo Rossi Smith and Pol Espargarò went slower...boh!

the FP3s, apart from the flying lap, are all there, the Ducati and Yamaha are a little better on pace
