MotoGP Qatar, Free Practice 1: Cal Crutchlow “I'm happy to be between Jorge and Valentino, but on Sunday it will be tough to finish on the podium”

Cal Crutchlow he ends the first day of testing in Qatar with the 2nd fastest time. The Monster Tech3 team rider places himself between the two official Yamahas with his M1 satellite. The Briton is therefore very satisfied with how this weekend started but he knows that finishing on the podium on Sunday will be very difficult, also because when track conditions improve several riders will go faster.

“It's a really excellent first session closed with the 2nd half – Cal Crutchlow said – and with three Yamahas ahead of everyone. As always at the start in Qatar the track was very dirty, particularly when you went off line. We need to make some changes to the bike tomorrow because I feel like I have too much weight transfer in braking and acceleration but I'm happy to be second between Jorge and Valentino. Second place is excellent but I must not give up because when the track conditions improve the others will go faster and it will be very difficult to fight for the podium. I can't wait for the race to see how competitive I will be from the start."
