MotoGP – Preview Valencia – Last race for Melandri with Ducati

Marco Melandri will face the next and final race of the 2008 world championship on the Valencia circuit with the knowledge that it will be his last with Ducati (next year he will be a Kawasaki rider). The driver from Ravenna who had focused so much on the 2008 season instead found himself with crumbs in his hands, having never found the right feeling with the Desmosedici GP8. In fact, he is only 17th in the standings with 51 points, 204 less than his teammate Stoner! To him the word-

“Valencia is part of that series of circuits that are not really suitable for MotoGP, because it is slow and narrow, with second or first gear corners. You have to be very good at cycling to be able to have fun. In the past I've had some good races, I've even won, both in 250cc and in MotoGP and in general it's a track that I like because it reminds me a lot of when I raced minibikes, it makes me feel like a child again. Of course, after the latest results I can't say I'm very confident but you never know. I would really like to end the season and my experience in Ducati with a good result."
