Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi, the two sides of the coin. On the eve of Sepang, in the usual press conference the Australian presents himself with the second title in his pocket and an irrepressible desire to do well in Malaysia too, while the nine-time world champion admitted that despite the changes made in Ducati they are on point of departure.

“I will take to the track more relaxed, given the heavy weight we have taken off ourselves. We knew that just one small mistake would be enough to allow Lorenzo to close the gap and make the end of the Championship complicated for us, said Stoner as reported by SportMediaset – Arriving at Sepang with the title already secure is truly fantastic. We will work with a completely different perspective, enjoying the last races. We'll see what will happen in free practice once we enter the pits, how the work will proceed and whether everything will take place more calmly. Let's hope the weather doesn't hold any surprises for us. It's always nice to return to a circuit where we have always done well in the past.”

“It's clear that my riding style doesn't suit the Ducati. But he doesn't even fit in with any of the other riders in the world championship, apart from Stoner - added Valentino Rossi - We tried to work hard to straighten out the season and to be competitive, developing the bike from many points of view. Finally, after a year, we are back to square one. It's always a great pleasure to drive here in Sepang, I love this track and I've achieved excellent results here. In the pre-season tests I didn't do very well, so I hope to be able to do better this weekend. Now I'm seventh in the standings, I have been more or less for the whole season, but unfortunately I lost important points with the crashes in the last two races. The battle for fifth place is not over. “On Philipp Island I had to undergo a series of injections because I was in a lot of pain and had trouble driving. The finger is still very swollen. I hope the pain goes away in the next few days.”

His numbers are what gets people talking, people still talk about Doohan even though 15 years have passed.

    Greetings everyone!!!!!

However, from these interviews a humble, humble Valentino always emerges...
The Ducati doesn't go with me, but with no one else except Stoner. (translation: this year's results are not my fault but the shitty bike's).
Your congratulations to the new world champion are also nice... Really nice words, to find them...

Look at the photo…. Valentino has dull eyes.... Stoner's eyes shining…. Rocky 3 comes to mind..."Eyes of the Tiger" which Valentino seems to have missed.... just as Stoner lost them in Ducati after the fortuitous 2007 :-)

No one in the world, among the riders in the same category, has ever congratulated him every time he won a world title in MotoGP... but none of you must have noticed!
Besides, if I had won 9 world championships and 120 grand prix, I wouldn't have congratulated someone who a few days earlier had told me that maybe I don't know how to ride a motorbike...

@ but also no. Just because he didn't do it on camera doesn't mean he didn't do it at all. Let these poor frustrated people believe the tall tales that come out of their minds. And think how they will be annoyed when Rossi riding a Ducati will kick the ass of their favorites like that by reducing them.

Stoner/reds two murderers, one killed the championship with shovels of gas, the other the test rider/developer killed the Ducati with a thousand rubbish and frames etc.etc.

the blame for everything falls on both of them, in particular on one of them...oh Ducati imposed itself and demanded that Valentino only try to modify or update that of Stoner...that is, Valentino demanded that Ducati immediately look for new methodologies that were not partially NEW but we went ahead with trying to make good times for just one year then in the following year we will find the solutions but I think that at this rate in six months we are already behind even with the 1000

Fortunately, even if Valentino only has one more test... from November the GP12 test rider will be CHECA at least pushing on the accelerator... as declared... falling within the new contract stipulated with Althea by Ducati... with a figure no more and no less than what BMW offered...

Sorry Vale, but you can't say that this bike doesn't suit your style, but sorry, weren't you the one who adapted to every condition? That you changed style from Honda to Yamaha? What difference did you make with the finished tires? That you were unbeatable in hand-to-hand combat (I admit that it's practically true here)? That you had the elusive 1/2 second in your wrist?
Unfortunately they idolized you so much that you almost believed it too.
Sorry, I'm not mad at you, but every now and then you come out with some dig or double entendre that makes me feel a bit annoyed.
    Came back on earth. please.

Rest assured Amateur, I can't wait for Checa to try the GP12, if that's true.
So you will finally understand that SBK and MotoGP can be compared like butter with the railway.
And rest assured that whatever time Checa sets on a GP12, Rossi's will be lower!

    @Zardoz, you are certainly right.
But if I have to be honest, I would pay to see a divorce between Rossi and Ducati. We can't stand it anymore: that's not a motorbike, it's just a little game that has never worked since it entered MotoGP.
