MotoGP – Preview Sachsenring – Pedrosa: "I will aim for the best possible result, as always"

Dani Pedrosa is without a shadow of a doubt the revelation of the 2006 MotoGP championship. The Team Honda Repsol rider making his debut in the category has already won 2 victories (Shanghai and Donington Park) and is in second place in the general classification. Pedrosa will also have to adapt to the RC211V this weekend on a track where he has never ridden with the MotoGP.

“As always this year my main objective is to learn to drive the RCV on this track. The Sachsenring has some very slow sections and some very fast ones so I don't know what it will be like riding this bike. For sure the first part will be very difficult because it was also difficult with the 250 so I can't wait to see how a MotoGP fares there. My results on this track have been particularly good in recent years but obviously in MotoGP it will be a different challenge and I can't guarantee anything.

At Donington we had the opportunity to run an excellent race and get a good result, taking advantage of the right opportunity. This is what we will try to do this weekend too. If everything goes well, maybe we can fight at the top, otherwise I'll aim for the best possible result, as always."
