Once the Qatar GP is over, Sete Gibernau returns to the Australian track where last year he took pole and the second step of the podium.
“The Phillip Island track is among the fastest and most spectacular in the world championship, it is fun to drive and very technical. I know it well because we come here to rehearse in the winter. In the pre-season tests I went very fast, we have interesting reference data, useful for setting up the bike. I'm looking forward to the Australian GP with confidence. I am convinced that as soon as we manage to overcome this difficult moment with a positive result, we will return to being stronger than ever."

SETE COMMENTS ON THE TRACK
“Phillip Island has some of the fastest corners in the world and is spectacular and fun to race there for both drivers and spectators. It is a very technical, guided circuit that requires perfect set-up of the bike.
The main unknown is the weather because the climate changes very quickly, in fact in a few minutes you can go from sun to rain. Another distinctive feature is the almost constant presence of a very strong wind given the proximity of the circuit to the sea.
What section of the track is your favorite?
Phillip Island is a complete track. The track is an excellent combination of slow corners and fast corners, changes of direction. There's a bit of everything!
What is the best place to overtake?
the two hairpin bends
The secrets to a good ride
On this track it is essential to have an excellent set-up. Philipp Island requires non-aggressive driving, it is important to follow the right trajectory.
The best memory
The pole position of the 2004 GP was my fifth pole of the season.”
