MotoGP – Preview Mugello – Valentino Rossi: "Racing here is incredible"

Valentino Rossi arrives at Mugello after the debacle of the French GP where he didn't score a single point due to a fall that occurred immediately after returning to the track (he had changed bikes to one with dry tyres). The Yamaha rider from Pesaro will therefore want to make up for it immediately and the numbers are on his side. In fact, on the Tuscan circuit he boasts nine victories in thirteen years of participation, including the last seven in a row and the last five on the Yamaha. Thrilling numbers for a GP that Rossi wants to win at all costs. The word is up to him.

“Racing at Mugello is something incredible for me, but every year it becomes more difficult to keep my record going and seven victories in a row is already a lot! You feel the pressure from the fans a lot but at the same time it's always surprising and they give me motivation that helps me do something different. I hope it's the same this year, because after Le Mans I really need a good result! It was disappointing, but everyone has their own “bad” race and that was ours. Everything possible went wrong, but hopefully the bad luck is over and we will do our best in our home race. I'm always very happy to race at Mugello, I have so many incredible memories. Let's hope we have more this weekend.”
