MotoGP – Preview Mugello – Chris Vermeulen: "The goal is to improve"

Chris Vermeulen as well as his teammate Loris Capirossi have not yet managed to get the best out of his 800cc GSV-R. The Australian Suzuki rider who finished in seventh position at Le Mans therefore hopes at Mugello to find the right setup and the right feeling on a track that requires maximum balance between handling and acceleration. The goal is to improve his performance on a track that last year saw him finish the race in tenth position after starting from the fourth row. He has the microphone.

“The Le Mans result was a little better but it's still not what we're looking for. We must continue to work hard and try to achieve the full potential of the GSV-R. I enjoy racing at Mugello where the atmosphere is unique and the track is surprising. The Mugello race is always tough but we will do everything we can to maintain and improve our performances. Certainly the goal is to achieve the best result of the season!”
