MotoGP – Preview Motegi – West knows the circuit well

Anthony West is ready to take part in the Japanese GP, the fifteenth event of the 2007 season. The Australian Kawasaki rider knows the Twin Ring circuit very well having already competed there in the 1000cc V-twins, then in the 250cc and in a 500cc race at world Championship. West also competed in an endurance event where he and his team finished the race in second place. The word is up to him.

"I'm happy to be back in Motegi, I love Japan and can't wait to race. I've done a lot of laps at this circuit so I know it well and I just hope I don't have the problems I had in Portugal. I'm sure the bike will do pretty well here. There are lots of hard braking zones, which I can usually use to make up some time, and the acceleration from the engine is amazing so I should be quite fast in a straight line. I think that by being able to get the bike out of the corners faster we can try to get a good result in front of the enthusiastic crowd of Japanese fans. However, we'll see what happens."
