MotoGP – Preview Misano – Mika Kallio hopes for a good result
Mika Kallio, replacing Casey Stoner on the official Ducati, hopes to find the right feeling with the front of his Desmosedici GP2009 at Misano, the thirteenth round of the 9 world championship. In fact, the Finn would like to improve his pace by half a second and to achieve this requires confidence on the front end. He has the microphone.
“In Indianapolis I equaled my best result of the season in MotoGP but even though the race went better than practice, I wasn't satisfied. My primary objective now is to improve my pace by half a second and to do this I need to find more confidence in the front of the bike. I know the potential is there and I hope to do it at Misano. It's not exactly my favorite track, but it's ok. In 2007 I was quite fast in practice, a little less last year, but on both occasions I crashed in the race. This year I hope to build on the work we did in Indy and get a good result.”
