MotoGP – Losail Preview – Stoner making his debut as a Ducatista in the race

2007, at least in intentions, will truly be "his year". The marriage with his historic girlfriend Adriana, the positive winter tests, the trust of the entire Ducati team who strongly wanted him for this season. Casey Stoner knows he is in a favorable position to do well in this 2007 which will see the light, as far as MotoGP is concerned, on March 10th in Losail, a destination which last year saw him surprisingly in pole position in his second race absolute in the premier class. Casey Stoner starts from a solid base built in the mid-February tests right here in Doha, and this is why he shows sincere optimism…

“I couldn't be happier with the team, everyone gives their all and the bike has constantly improved at every track we've been to”, sincere Casey Stoner. “It looks very competitive, as do the tyres. The tests done in Qatar last month were very positive so I feel confident, especially as I have had some good races in the past in Qatar. In the tests we showed that we had a good pace, the tires were good; the only thing that can constitute an unexpected variable is the asphalt. On this track one day he is very fast and the next it can be exactly the opposite. The track itself is not the most exciting, it is very flat, with little inclination in the corners, which are mostly connected to each other. However, it favors good battles so much so that the leading group usually has great races."
