He took them soundly from Pedrosa in Jerez, but Nicky Hayden doesn't seem to worry too much about it. On the other hand, he, Mr. Workaholic, is thinking more about making the "unwelcome" 211 RC2006V competitive, thus fully responding to mother Honda's tasks. However, “Kentucky Kid” starts out ambitious with a strong streak of optimism…

“I'm really looking forward to getting back on track. After the result in Jerez, where all in all we had little time to resolve the problems, Losail is the right opportunity to have the exact dimension of our current competitive reality. A new track, after having ridden the same tracks all winter... I like Losail, there are good speed points, in particular the first section with the succession of two-three decidedly technical corners; the only point against it is the public: going from Jerez to a track in the middle of the desert is not the best... Last winter several teams tested here while we had chosen another track (Phillip Island, ed.), but despite this we are ready to be competitive and to give our best.”
