Jorge Lorenzo, fresh from his splendid victory in Jerez, is aware that the season is still long and complicated. The Majorcan, who is nevertheless proud of the fact of having won for the first time at home with the MotoGP, hopes to repeat last year's success at Le Mans, a success which however occurred in truly prohibitive weather conditions, with the wet track which then became dried hand. Obviously he hopes that this year there will be sunshine, he will have the microphone.

“Despite our victory in Jerez I still think that I am not the favorite because the season is very long and it has only just begun! I'm very proud because Jerez was my first home victory in MotoGP anyway. Last year I won at Le Mans in an incredible and crazy race. It was very complicated due to the rain and the track drying out, but I think everyone in our team did an incredible job, especially in the race. I know I used everything I had, from the very first laps to the end. I hope the fans don't expect a repeat this weekend! Of course the weather is always a risk at Le Mans, but I hope it's sunny. I've been on the podium twice at Le Mans, last season and when I won my second 250 title, so I'm looking forward to trying again. We've had almost three weeks off since Jerez and I know I'm ready for this second European race.”
