Randy De Puniet is preparing to compete in the third GP of the 2007 MotoGP season with high motivation. In fact, the Kawasaki rider wants to make up for a start to the season that saw him struggle too much compared to the performances of the last winter tests. The transalpine driver is in fact only sixteenth in the world rankings with just 3 points scored. However, the latest tests in Jerez de la Frontera saw great improvements, both on the part of him and that of his teammate Olivier Jacque.

“I'm looking forward to this race weekend with confidence. My start to the season didn't live up to expectations but Jerez could have been the turning point. We improved the bike a lot during the tests and therefore I have a better feeling ahead of the Turkish GP. However, I don't want to create too many illusions. The Istanbul circuit is nice and fast; last year I struggled but with one more year of experience I hope it will be easier; the part I like least is the final one, too slow and narrow. It's hard to say what position I'll end up in but for sure I'll try to get the most out of it this weekend.”
