MotoGP – Preview Estoril – West: "Now I feel much better"

Anthony West is preparing to face the third MotoGP race of 2008 on the Estoril circuit with the awareness of having increased his feeling with the Ninja ZX-RR and with the aim of improving the results achieved in the first two races (a sixteenth place in Losail and a thirteenth in Jerez). The post-GP testing in Jerez served to increase his confidence in himself and his ZX-RR. He has the microphone.

“Now I feel much better. The result in Jerez and my feeling with the bike have improved a lot compared to Qatar so now I feel ready to face the next race a little more confident. My form also improves and I can more easily cover the entire race distance without losing pace. Now I'm much more regular and this is reflected in the lap times. Estoril is a good circuit. It has a long straight and the rest are more difficult sections; some parts are really difficult. It's always challenging for a MotoGP, and last year I had rear-wheel drive problems. But in Jerez, after the race, we made some changes to the set-up of the ZX-RR and the situation improved a lot. Overall things were much better, so I can't wait to see what we can do this weekend.”
