MotoGP – Preview Donington – Jorge Lorenzo: “I hope to reverse the Sachsenring result”

The German GP left Jorge Lorenzo quite disappointed, the Majorcan centaur of the Fiat Yamaha Team was in fact hoping to be able to beat his team-mate Valentino Rossi and instead had to "settle" for second place albeit by just 99 thousandths. Now comes Donington, a circuit that the former quarter-litre driver likes and a circuit where he hopes to reverse last Sunday's result. What Lorenzo doesn't want to find is rain, in fact he hopes for a dry weekend. The word is up to him.

“Of course I'm disappointed with Germany's result, but considering my physical condition I have to be happy with second place. It's a shame that we don't have a week off to recover, but I'll try to relax for a few days. I like Donington a lot and this is the last year, therefore, we would like to try to go out with a good result. I expect all the English fans to be there like they did at the Sachsenring, so we'll see what we can do, but obviously I hope the result is reversed! The weather at Donington can be “bad” and so my biggest wish is for it to stay dry, we have had enough rain at the Sachsenring! However, if it were to rain it wouldn't be the end of the world, on Saturday at Sachsenring we demonstrated that we know how to go fast."
