Andrea Dovizioso arrives at Donington on the strength of favorable precedents: victory here in 2004 in 125cc and, last year, among the quarter-litres. A track that he likes a lot and seems to adapt to his available package, especially in light of a promising fourth place achieved in Barcelona. This is why the JiR Team Scot driver from Forlì is confident, with the natural intention of doing well across the Channel in any type of weather condition.

“I like the English circuit and I've always felt good about it, in fact I took two victories, one in 125 and one, last year, in 250. It's a particular track and I believe that with the MotoGP it will be relatively slow and the throttle will everything will not be kept open, unlike what can be done in the other categories. A part of the circuit is smooth with the big bends that will have to connect, and is alternated with another decidedly slow one, but we will have to take into account the unknown weather. In the sun the grip is good but in case of rain, the asphalt becomes slippery. I'm ready and excited, especially after the latest performances in Spain which gave me good signs of improvement".

The goal is to get on the podium in MotoGP for the first time, after finishing fourth in Losail and Barcelona.
