First time facing a race weekend among the MotoGP lions on the English Donington Park track, but worry gives way to confidence on the face of Alex De Angelis, a San Marino rider who arrived in the Team Gresini pits this year. After various ups and downs in the quarter-liter and a rather brilliant 2007 he turns his gaze backwards to make some considerations on the relationship he has with the English circuit.

“Donington is a track that I really like and I have always done well here. Things have been going well for us lately so I feel confident about this weekend. We think we can do a satisfactory job in any conditions, which is why we are not worried about the knowledge that England is likely to be subjected to downpours in this period".

The young driver also seeks certainties in the latest tests which took place after the Catalan Grand Prix and adds: “In the tests after the Barcelona race we worked well once again with Bridgestone, the only question mark will remain the time. At Mugello and Montmelò we raced in warm temperature conditions but at Donington this could be lower so we won't know how the tires will adapt until we get to the track. We have to try and make sure we choose the right compound, but I'm confident because I'm sure Bridgestone will bring something that suits my style. We will also adapt the new Nissin brakes, which are lighter and more powerful, as well as an additional tool for overtaking in battles.".

De Angelis now seems to be on the right path after the various difficulties encountered along the way so far, ready to have his say and say goodbye to the nostalgia of those good results in 250cc to welcome new ones. We will see.
