Casey Stoner, rider of the Ducati Marlboro Team, is preparing to take part in the tenth stage of the 2009 world championship, a stage which comes immediately after the German GP, where the Australian finished the race in fourth position. The former Honda LCR rider (3rd in the world championship standings with 148 points) would like to find a climate similar to the German one, a climate that has not caused him physical tiredness. The track is not one of his favorites but he has achieved excellent results in the past and last year he took home the victory. The word is up to him.

“At the Sachsenring we did the best of what we could do and now I look forward to the next race at Donington with more confidence. The best thing for us would be to find a climate and temperature similar to those we found in Germany, because I think those were conditions that worked in my favor, as did the track, with some nice long corners where I could relax for a while. a little in the saddle. I would be really happy if Donington gave me another weekend with acceptable temperatures. The track has never been one of my favorites but I have achieved some good results there. The first part is really challenging, down the Craner Curves section, and then up towards the Old Hairpin but it's actually the slowest part where you can do the most overtaking. The bike has gone really well in these last few races, although we could use a little more traction. We just have to wait and see how things pan out, and in any case, try to bring home as many points as possible."
