MotoGP – Preview Barcelona – Toni Elias: "I think we are finally ready"

Toni Elias lives in the city of Manresa, a few dozen kilometers from the Montmelò circuit and therefore this is a home race for the Spaniard from Team Gresini in which he will try to make progress driving his RC212V after the disappointing test at Mugello. Unfortunately, Elias' good physical form during free practice did not lead to a positive result in the race on the Tuscan circuit, but the Spanish driver has every reason to believe he can get close to the best in Barcelona on a circuit where he has always raced great, winning podiums in the 125 and 250. “I think we are finally ready. We achieved improvements, but without having had the opportunity to demonstrate it in the race with the results. We have been unlucky so far, but we will continue to work hard and consistently. I hope that things can change at Montmeló and that we will start to obtain those much desired results. We have encountered several problems that are difficult to resolve, but we are doing our best and are definitely improving. We are tackling the problems one by one and gradually reducing them, the important thing is not to feel haunted by bad luck. I hope we can get our first satisfactory result at Montmeló, I feel we are close to it. The Spanish fans will give us very important support, they will transmit their energy to us and they will give us extra motivation to do well."
