MotoGP – Barcelona Preview – Dani Pedrosa: “We arrive in good shape”

Dani Pedrosa has alternated ups and downs at the start of the season. The Team Honda Repsol rider is however ready for his home race which will take place on the Catalunya circuit and the good test done in Assen will be an extra boost. With the team he hopes to be able to find a good setting right away on a circuit where it will be almost impossible to use the same setup as in Barcelona. The word is up to him.

“I arrive in Barcelona in a very good mood. The last race in Assen was an excellent example of how we never give up. The testing sessions were very difficult but our team never gave up and we worked until the last moments to obtain a good result. I'm happy with the race because I was able to maintain a fast pace from the first lap until the last lap and I hope we can do the same in Catalunya. So far this season we have alternated good and bad results at every race, but we hope we can reach a high level in Barcelona. All the people on my team are ready.

It's a circuit where I always enjoy racing because it's my home race. My family and friends are there, together with my fans, I feel at home more than anywhere else, I am surrounded by the fans. I really want to give him a good weekend. Last year this race was very tough because I was injured and had to race with an injection of painkillers. This time we go to the Catalunya GP in good shape. We know that we will have to work hard to get the bike right, because on this circuit it is always difficult to find a good setting and the one we used in Assen will probably not be suitable for this circuit. I hope to have the bike in place from Saturday, have a good qualifying and be ready to fight at the highest level in the race. We have to keep pushing this weekend.”
